Every woman encountered a monthly discharged of blood from her uterus to vagina. We called it menstruation or menstrual period. And one thing we hate the most when having our monthly period is the abdominal cramps (most often called as Dysmenorrhea). Whenever this crampy lower abdominal pain attacks me, with just hot compress, everything will be back to normal. Of course, you need to take some rest to ease the pain.
Hot compress is a basic remedy to soothe pains like dysmenorrhea. All you need to do is boil a hot water and place it on the empty bottle, then dab slowly the bottle onto the affected area. You can also use a face towel and cover it on the bottle, in case you can’t handle the hotness whenever you place it on your lower abdomen .
If hot compress didn’t worked for you, take a pain reliever medicine. The one that my big sis was taking is called Midol. Before, almost every month, she suffers from dysmenorrhea symptoms like nausea, vomiting, cold sweats, loose bowels and fatigue. I’m glad that it lessen already.
Other than that, I also applied eucalyptus oil or herbal oil on my lower belly before doing the hot compress. Hope this helps! 🙂
